February 23, 2017:

Five St. Mary’s parishioners went to the state Capitol to participate in Day on the Hill conducted by the Joint Religious Legislative Coalition. The coalition educated its members on important issues related to poverty, income inequality and social justice.

March 9th, 2017, the Minnesota Catholic Conference sponsored a 1 day event held in St. Paul at the River Center and the Capitol. Catholics at the Capitol.

Catholics at the Capitol On Thursday, March 9, 2017, over 1,000 Catholics from every state senate district joined Minnesota’s seven bishops and dynamic speakers in St. Paul for a day of inspiration and advocacy.

 

 

Bruce Becker,  Jan Duhnke – St. Mary’s, Fr. David Petron – Immaculate Conception in Osakis and Francie Peterson – St. Mary’s were some of the attendees from Minnesota Districts 8 and 12 at the ‘Catholics at the Capitol’ event.
